4-Day Tour Anaula Nature Resort Suriname.
Our 4-day Tour consists of a complete trip to Surinam with three nights at our resort. Standard departure day is every Friday. During your trip we will make various trips, such as a village walk, visit the Ferulassi rapids and an adventure boat trip. Also, a cultural performance performed by maroons, the inhabitants of the area around Anaula, will not be left out. Day of departure: every Friday

Day 1: Ferulasifalls and an adventurous boat trip... Today we start our natural and cultural experience and depart from Paramaribo in southern direction. On the way we pass the impressive giant trees and villages along this road. After about 190 km the road ends and we arrive at Atlii to embark on an exciting canoe trip. We sail about 50 minutes by motorized canoe to the comfortable Anaula Nature Resort, located at the foot of the Ferullas rivals, where you will spend the night. During this cruise you enjoy a breathtaking nature and we will pass several Maroon villages. We also pass the impressive Jaw-Jaw rapid. After a light lunch in our lovely dining room check-in takes place. Hereafter you can explore the resort. In the afternoon we sail by canoe to a nearby swimming in the Ferullasi rapids, where we can relax, swim and enjoy a natural whirlpool. For dinner we face an exciting adventure in search of caimans. You can also enjoy the beautiful starry sky and the complete silence of the Amazon rainforest during this night cruise. Day 3: More cultural experience... Dag 4: Day off... After breakfast we go to the village of New Aurora for a village walk by coral. During the tour of the After breakfast we sail by canoe to the village Nieuw Aurora for a village walk. During this trip you will meet the local people and their unique way of life and their traditional customs and habits. Among others we visit a church, a primary school and a medical post. Around 16:30 we have planned a walk trough the forest on the island of Anaula. During this walk you will receive information about the local medicinal use of plants. During the civil war in 1986, the Jungle Commandos Ronnie came to this island for their “immortality rituals”. The remnants of these rituals on the island remind us of this unique part of history. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner. A free evening where you can visit our lobby with relaxing sofas.Today it is Sunday. So you have the opportunity to experience a church service in the village. You will witness a typical Saramaccan service. In the afternoon you are free to spend your time. The hammock camps are there for your convenience. A walk on the island is recommended and you can enjoy the sound of the birds or chill at one of jetties at the riverside. Reading a book in our lovely pool under the gazebo is also not unattractive idea. After dinner you can enjoy cultural dances. Traditional dances such as the Seketi, Awasa and Bandamba will be performed. Our guide will explain the meaning of these dances.Note: cultural dance is only offered at a minimum of 8 guests.
Despite that it is allowed to bring your own drink, but you will have to arrange the cooling of the drinks yourself. Even so if you bring food, we can not store it in a freezer because we want to rule out the possibility of contamination with our stock. Exception is made if you use a special diet with ingredients that are not available in the Surinamese market.
